Take a Hint, Tamaki

In the last blog on my AMV of All About Those Grades starring Haruhi Fujioka, I had gone over very basics to the series ofOuran High School Host Club, and let’s do a quick little review as a refresher. Haruhi Fujioka is a female student, pretending to be a male, attending a school called Ouran Academy, which is designed for the rich and the smarts. She is part of the Host Club, where a small group of boys have too much time on their hands entertain the ladies that have too much time on their hands due to a debt she owes them for having broken an overly expensive vase.

In this video, it captures beyond that. This time, it captures the essence of the president of the Host Club, Tamaki Suoh, who is the Prince Type of the club whereas Haruhi is known to be the Natural Type for being so natural at wooing girls without the other girls even realizing that Haruhi is the same gender as them. Haruhi is the one to start off the video by showing of her trying to find a quiet place to study, only to walk in on a room where the Host Club uses as their own club meeting room, or hosting room, rather, when she goes onto sing about how she’s always being hit on by the guys left and right. In her case, that would be the case of Tamaki doing so to her with the twins named Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin always poking their fun at her consistently to get on the nerves of Tamaki.

And Renge, the blondish-brown haired girl, also comes into play by having to tell Tamaki to back off due to the fact that when actually watching or reading the series, Renge is portrayed as someone who has feelings only for Kyoya but always finding Tamaki to be irritating in the first episode of her appearance. Even though it seems incredulous to use such an extreme minor character, it actually plays in nicely because of Renge’s personality of not liking Tamaki in any way whatsoever. In fact, it’s to the point where she first finds him as an irritating person in general and a complete phony, which isn’t a complete lie when it comes to hosting the girls that comes by the Host Club.

This AMV was kept as true to the series itself because of how suiting it was for Tamaki the way he’s always making passes at girls left and right without stop whenever he’s hosting, and the fact that Haruhi’s no different whether the blonde male realizes it or not, it seemed far more than suiting for this song to be sung to him. And no matter what, Haruhi is the type of character to always try and be nice, but not everything, or rather nothing, seeming to go her away. At the same time, doesn’t everyone go through that one period in life where they just came seem to get rid of some people that we don’t want in our lives? Because I sure as heck know that I’ve had that happen on multiple of occasions.
