Music Video: All About That Grace

Music: All About That Grace

Original Music: All About That Bass

Parody Artist: R Pubcast (Rebecca Snyder – singer)

Original Artist: Meghan Trainor

Let’s face it – With parodies of various music coming and going, All About That Bass isn’t going to be let off the hook all too easily. And just as there are going to be parodies for animes (as seen in my last blog with Spinning Around That Base video done by NateWantsToBattle) and all the way to even on school and grades, for which I did make an Anime Music Video (AMV) for under my video’s title Haruhi’s All About Those Grades, the parodies have now even crossed the line for religions.

Even though I do consider myself to be a pretty hardcore otaku to a certain extent when it comes to things such as mangas and games – ESPECIALLY Dance Central series and Pokémon games – I to have to admit that I’m a Christian as well. At least the type that’s in between two worlds – One foot set in world of Christianity, and the other set in atheism and ready to run off into the darkness for being used to having been an atheist for a little less than a decade.

I’ll be the first to admit that after having been raised in a Christian family all my life, this actually is a good parody to the All About That Bass music, and by no means in anyway, I’m sure, did Rebecca Snyder – the girl who was singing in the video – mean to seem shrewd nor seem as if she were making slurs about other races, such as the Roman Catholics and the Papists as some people that have made comment on her video on the R Pubcast YouTube channel have made remarks about. Also, in my personal opinion, having to have made the All About That Grace in point of view of a Christian, it was really well done having to give even a tad bit of view into other religions from what she probably could get, and even including a historical figure for the Roman Catholics – Tetzel, who was a Roman Catholic friar and preacher.

I’ve also recently asked for permission to take her music and turn it into a music video by lipsyncing it, so as soon as she approves – IF she approves of it and gives me an ‘OK’ – expect a music video to come your way!
