The third Movie Monday posting of the day, and the final spotlight for the day goes to the Princess and the Frog!

You know the typical story where a princess kisses the frog, and the frog magically turns into a prince?

Well, this isn’t your typical princess and the frog story. In fact, what happens between Tiana, the supposed princess, and Prince Naveen of Maldonia is a special kind of princess and the frog story to watch. When Naveen and his valet Lawrence are in New Orlean, they end up running into a witch doctor, who promises both of them a great amount of happiness as long as the two follow. Out of greed, they do end up following, only to end up for Naveen to be turned into a frog and the valet, Lawrence, to be turned into looking just like Naveen. Lawrence, out of greed, plans to marry Charlotte, who comes from a wealthy family and a close friend of Tiana from young age, and kill Charlotte and her father to gain the family fortune.

And Naveen, wanting to break the curse of being a frog, knows that a kiss can turn him back into a human that he truly is. When he sees Tiana wearing a dress at a ball and sees a crown upon her head, he immediately jumps to the conclusions that she may be a princess and asks her to kiss him so that the curse may be broken. Wanting to help the young prince, Tiana reluctantly agrees and kisses the frog – Only to end up being turned into a frog herself!

The two soon goes on a journey to find the Witch Doctor so that they both may turn back into the humans that they truly are, or they will be stuck as frogs forever.
