Another Tuesday, meaning another TV Tuesday!
Today’s look – The Walking Dead.
It’s another television series that’s based off of comic book series titled The Walking Dead. And even though the title, even the characters that are living, refers to the “Walking Dead” as in the “Walkers”, the zombies, in the story line, have you ever wondered why it’s not really all that focused on the actual dead zombies? In fact, the story revolves around the group of survivors.
In the TV series, the Walking Dead revolves around a group of survivors, and it all starts out with having to follow a police sheriff named Rick. How the pilot episode starts out is that Rick and few of his men are out chasing a man in a high speed chase, only to end up with a bullet wound for Rick when the criminal ends up shooting a few bullets at the cops. Of course, Rick being one of the main characters, it’s a given that he doesn’t die. Instead, he wakes up some time later in an empty hospital. Or at least seemingly empty until he comes to realization that the hospital has various room locked up with chains due to zombies, dead patients and workers that got bit by the zombies, and the virus has effected the now once dead people. He soon sets out on an adventure to find his wife and son, whom are shown separately are actually alive and well and traveling with a group. One of the members of the group, if you pay close enough of an attention from the beginning, is one of Rick’s men on the police force.
Throughout the series, there is its own share of bloodshed to go around, and fair share of fights to be delivered. This show may be for the sole purpose of having tried to leave its focus to the zombies, but whether it’s the Walkers or the survivors that the producers want to focus on, it’s still matter of action packed thrills and drama that comes with all the living characters that makes it worth the watch. Even having to get attached to each of the characters overtime makes it all worth a while to follow the series.
For all the gory fans out there in the world, this just may be the show for you!
