Time for another TV Tuesday!
Today’s TV Tuesday feature is GOTHAM!
Now, for those of you comic book nerds out there, hearing the word “Gotham” should bring one name to mind instantly!
But for those of you that aren’t that big on comics but know superheroes, well, the simplest I can place it for you is as simple as Batman and Robin.
For those of you that don’t know superheroes all too well, the basic background story of Robin himself goes that Robin was a son of two circus acrobats, whom died in a tragic incident. Bruce Wayne, one of the most powerful and richest man in a city called Gotham, meets Robin and, understanding exactly where Robin’s coming from and how the child feels due to his own personal loss, takes the young boy in under his wings. What Robin finds out is that the rich and famous Bruce Wayne of the Wayne Enterprises himself is the one and only Batman, a superhero that gets called out at night to fight crime when the Gotham Police Department feels as if they’re in a real tight spot with criminals – Such as with Batman’s greatest enemy, the Joker.
With Gotham series, it focuses on the childhood life of Bruce Wayne. To give the basic background of Bruce Wayne that every superhero fan, even the ones that just have basic knowledge of Batman, knows is that as a child, Bruce loses his parents to murder, and the Wayne Enterprise is left to Bruce in the will of his parents. And that’s where the story of the city called Gotham, the city where Bruce resides and where the murder incident all started, begins to unravel. And with it, one by one, it begins to become clear which character is to become clear who will become which evil villain that lines up to become Batman’s enemies – Including Poison Ivy, Riddler, and Penguin. And it also reveals how Jim Gordon has become the Commissioner in the Gotham Police Department, and all that he has to go through and deal with in order to be part of the police force.
Above all else, what would an action television show be, especially if it involves a superhero with no super powers, without action around at every corner when Bruce Wayne is still a child and is far from becoming Batman at his age? In Gotham show, it is flooded with even gangs and mafias trying to take full control over Gotham to call the city their own. And it is even to the point where the bosses compete against one another to be on the top of the food chain that they will go into wars against one another if they have to proceed to even as far as war through use of weapons.
For those that are into comic book, or even just interested in knowing the origins of Batman and how Batman came to be, this is the series to watch.
Action.
Drama.
Romance.
Humor, both dark and light once in a while.
Trills and the rush.
Want to watch some people even die gruesome deaths now and then? Here’s the show for you! Follow the story of Bruce Wayne and Jim Gordon, and let them along with the side of the mafias show you the story behind the city called Gotham!
